Faith Erin Hicks Talks 'Zombies Calling'

Coffee, Cigarettes & Comics: An Interview with Troy Little
"Chiaroscuro started out as a comic called Eclectic Café, a comic that I started in 1995 to pass the time and have a little fun with. I played with that for a while and shelved it, moved to Ottawa and got involved in the animation industry. After a few frustrating years working in that business I decided to try my hand at comics again."

Spotlights & Articles
Warren Ellis' Orbiter
"The artistic side of the book is the Yang to the writing's Ying. Doran's intricate and detailed artwork is a perfect fit with Ellis' ominous but touching writing. Not only are the detail and designs of the ship, the people and space itself gorgeous and inspiring, but the colors complete the feelings of great respect and adoration."

Creator Spotlight: Carl Barks
"Finally in the late 1920s he started to sell his cartoons to magazines such as College Humor and Judge. His more risque gags, featuring sexy ladies wearing wearing a minimum of clothing, found a home in a Minneapolis-based magazine called The Calgary Eye-opener, and in 1931 they offered him a staff job."

Reviews
Troy Little's Chiaroscuro
"Chiaroscuro is the story of Steven Patch, an unemployed artist with a single blank canvas. Steven's busy living the introspective, angst-ridden life of your average twenty-something; drinking too much and complaining about his situation while doing little to improve it."

Y: The Last Man #59
"Brian K. Vaughan once said that Y was the story of "the world's last boy becoming the world's last man. These final issues, especially fifty-nine, holds true on that promise as there is little evidence of the Yorick who started out on this journey nearly sixty issues ago. He is more confident and mature but noticeably exhausted and tired."

Kyle Baker's Special Forces
"Eisner award-winning Kyle Baker brings you Special Forces the wackiest boot camp since “Stripes”! Special Forces follows a small-town autistic teen from his recruitment, through basic training, and then off to war in Iraq. violent felons, mental patients, a violent mental hot chick felon and at least one 'Don’t ask don’t tell'."

Every Girl Is The End Of The World For Me
"Autobiographical cartoonist Jeffrey Brown provides an epilogue to his Girlfriend Trilogy, detailing the day-by-day events of a three week run-in with five different girls. Watch and be mesmerized by an ex coming back into the picture, a growing but poorly chosen crush, and musings on the way."

Highlighting Ben Templesmith
"Depending on where you live, the horror flick 30 Days of Night will either be on the big screen already or coming to a cinema near you very soon. Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the film—from what I’ve seen from the trailers and sneak peeks anyway—takes a lot of visual cues from series."

Alison Bechdel's Fun Home
"Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved to see inside people’s homes. Maybe it’s a bit of voyeurism, or the half-hidden belief that if I can see the interior of their home, I may be given a greater understanding of the true nature of their interior self… or maybe I’m just nosey."
